Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Emerald has been working with kids, teens, young adults, adults and families in the mental health field for over 10 years. Having lived on both the West and East coast of the United States, she has experience working with individuals from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. She has experience and training working with survivors of sexual assault, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, and trauma. She also has worked with countless individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, school stress, and dysfunctional family relationships. Emerald has completed over 250 hours of play therapy sessions and training and is currently working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist.

Using a warm and direct approach, she creates an emotionally safe therapeutic relationship that supports and empowers you to make the changes you want in your life.

M.S.Ed in Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA

B.S. in Marriage Family and Human Development from Brigham Young University

Licensure

Emerald is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) licensed in the state of Utah and currently can only accept clients residing in Utah
